Were a member of my family ever to require such surgery, these would be the types of devices I would want them to have placed by a small anterior incision. No bulky plate(s), no screws, no posterior tissue dissection, and the benefit of local motion preservation with the artificial disc, or local stability-preservation with the sleek cage.
